Aussie bank Suncorp teams with Diebold on multichannel strategy

The agreement includes 40 Diebold ATMs with cash recycling and check imaging capabilities, as well as a coin deposit sidecar.

Suncorp Bank has called on Diebold Inc. to enhance the FI's self-service channel with deposit automation capabilities, according to a press release.

The agreement includes 40 Diebold ATMs with cash recycling and check imaging capabilities. Suncorp Bank plans to upgrade these units with a coin deposit sidecar that will further serve the bank’s small and medium-size business clients, the release said.

"Suncorp Bank is committed to investing in technologies that enable greater convenience for our customers,"  said Paul Evans, Suncorp executive manager for payments and physical channels.

Suncorp Bank migrated its entire fleet of more than 700 ATMs to Diebold multivendor software and managed services in 2012 in order to improve its ATM user experience, the release said.
