Aussie ATM attack a fiery fail

Police believe the men might have been injured in the ensuing explosion and fireball that occurred at around 2:25 a.m. on Friday in a Gold Coast suburb, according to a report by The Australian. 

Though the ATM was mostly destroyed, the safe remained intact and the would-be thieves fled, cashless. 

We've seen this movie before: Approximately a year-and-a-half ago, police in Perth, Australia, posted a CCTV video of two men attempting a similar attack — and achieving similar results. Authorities suspected injuries in that incident, as well.
