Auriga, a European supplier of software and solutions for the banking and payments sectors, today debuted its new cloud-based ATM concepts at European ATMs 2012, the ATM Industry Association conference in London according to an announcement at Finextra.
The company showcased the latest release of WWS, its ATM management solution based on Cloud Computing. WWS brings together, on central servers, all the data and business logic required to run ATMs.
According to a press release by Auriga, WWS not only reduces ATM network management costs, but also diminishes the time to market for new services. Additionally, Auriga said, WWS simplifies the integration between different banks, allowing them to maintain their own identity and services, while relying on a single infrastructure.
The WWS solution is now widespread and installed in over 25,000 ATMs in Europe. RBR estimates that Auriga currently can claim a 9 percent share of the European multi-vendor ATM application market.
Also at the conference, Auriga demonstrated what it called "the fastest cash withdrawal" in the market. The transaction was made possible by WWS and was carried out in less than 17 seconds via a mobile app rather than a traditional debit card.
