PALO ALTO, Calif. -- AT&T Digital PocketNet subscribers will be able to find the nearest ATMs, as well as the nearest retailers, restaurants and services, thanks to a partnership between Vicinity Corp. (Nasdaq:VCNT), a provider of Internet-based marketing infrastructure services, and AT&T Wireless Services.
Vicinity is offering ATM Finder, enabling AT&T Digital PocketNet users to locate the ATM nearest to them, whether at banks or at non-traditional locations like grocery stores, from a database of more than 288,000 machines.
After selecting ATM Finder from the main AT&T Digital PocketNet screen, the user will be given the option of selecting a specific bank brand or "Nearest ATM," for a general search. By entering a zip code or complete address, the user will receive location information on the nearest ATM. The user can then select specific turn-by-turn driving directions to that machine.
AT&T Digital PocketNet subscribers can also locate restaurants, retailers and other businesses.
