The ATM Industry Associationannounced today that three new directors were joining its Board of Directors, from the U.S., Canada and China.
The three newly elected directors are: Mark Yip, managing director, GRG Banking Equipment (China), Chris Chandler, CEO and president, Access Cash (Canada) and John Leehy III, president and chief executive officer, Payment Alliance International (U.S.).
“These three influential men bring a level of expertise and connection that will benefit ATMIA and ultimately the entire industry. Through this board expansion, we will be reaching new levels of geographic strength in Canada, the U.S. and Asia,” said Tom Harper, current ATMIA president.
Mark Yip, based in Guangzhou, China , explained that people in Asia "love cash," with many countries in Asia being “big cash” countries, driving ATM expansion in the region. “We will devote our efforts to developing recycling technology and standard cassette technology to raise the efficiency of cash handling,” Yip said.
“I am pleased to accept a position on the ATMIA board, which I expect will further strengthen our industry’s voice within Canada and help have Canada’s voice and experience shared with other ATMIA chapters around the world," Chandler said. “I look forward to contributing and helping our industry grow.”
