The ATM Industry Association has officially merged with the ATM Security Association. Both will operate under the ATMIA umbrella, according to a press release.
Through this merger, ATMIA hopes to better tackle challenges in the ATM industry. Also ATMIA members will have access to the Crisis and Crime Management Intelligent System, which offers insights into ATM attack trends and methods.
"Bringing ATMIA and ASA together creates an unparalleled opportunity to better serve our members and the ATM industry as a whole," Lonnie C. Talbert, CEO of ATMIA, said in the release. "This merger allows us to leverage our collective expertise and resources to deliver even greater value, while advancing our shared vision for a stronger, safer, and more resilient industry."
The ATM Industry Association, founded in 1997, is a global non-profit trade association with over 10,500 members in 65 countries. The membership base covers the full range of this worldwide industry comprising over 2.2 million installed ATMs.
