ATMIA launches Web site for Latin America

August 23, 2005

LONDON - The ATM Industry Association announced Aug. 23 the launch of its Latin American chapter's Web site.

According to a news release, the site provides industry information in both English and Spanish and is ATMIA's eighth regional site to launch, following sites created for the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa, Australasia, Asia and Eastern Europe. Each of the eight Web sites is interconnected and receives about 400,000 hits per month.

"Each Web site serves as an industry noticeboard and one-stop information hub for its region," said Lana Harmelink, ATMIA's international director of operations. "On our Web sites there are news tickers, storefronts, a best practice online center, links to our Global ATM Security Alliance Web site and our upcoming events, (which are) organized by ATMIA Conferences." The sites also include responses to current industry issues, ATMIA's Honor Roll and Loyal Members Roll and membership information.

ATMIA also announced that it expects to its first conference in Latin America, in either Brazil or Mexico, during the third quarter of 2006. Companies interested in becoming founding sponsors of the new Web site and chapter should contact Lana Harmelink.
