The ATM Industry Association and the IPayments Forum have announced the launch of wikiATM.com, a global repository for ATM data.
A wiki (the word means "quick" in Hawaiian) is a website that allows users to add and modify content directly online using browser-based editing tools. The wiki engages the visitor in an ongoing process of creation and collaboration. Registered users are allowed to edit and update page content, and to create new pages on the site.
The purpose of wikiATM.com is to create a definitive body of knowledge about all aspects of the ATM. The site will act as an industry best practices portal with members-only access.
Additionally, WikiATM.com will serve to promote cross-channel integrated payments, with the ATM serving as the hub for financial self-service retail delivery.
All industry members are invited to participate in wikiATM.com. Information about membership is available through the IPayments Forum.
