ATMIA Canada sends out call for speakers

November 26, 2013

The Canada chapter of the ATM Industry Association has issued a call for speakers for its 2014 conference scheduled for June 4 and 5 at the Hilton Hotel and Suites Niagara Falls. Prospective speakers have until Dec. 10 to submit their proposals for consideration by event organizers.

The chapter is seeking practical, insightful presentations that are topical, research-based, content-driven, and not sales oriented. Speaker proposals should fall into one these categories:

  • new types of currencies affecting the ATM industry;
  • CRA changes coming in 2015;
  • ISOs crossing multiple geographic borders;
  • update on migration to Windows 7 and Windows 8;
  • digital AML compliance;
  • media issues challenging our industry;
  • review of DCC in Canada;
  • ATM innovation and business expansion; and
  • the positive future of cash and e-cash in the payments eco-system.

Each submission should contain the following:

  • presentation title;
  • 100-word description of the session; and
  • presenter's name.

Prospective speakers should be aware that ATMIA does not pay speaker expenses, but does provide a full conference pass. Presenters whose proposals are accepted will be notified by the association.

Submissions must be emailed by Dec. 10 to Dana Benson, director of conferences and sponsorships. For further information, contact Dana Benson or Curt Binns, executive director of ATMIA Canada.
