ATMIA Academy to select 10 scholarship recipients

The ATM Industry Association has announced that Visa Inc. will sponsor 10 scholarships to the International ATM Operators Certification program of the ATMIA Academy. Certification courses are designed for ATM operators and owners doing business in regional, national and global markets. 

Certification requires the completion of five courses that encompass the complete range of ATM operator responsibilities, a press release said. Each course includes a number of short interactive sessions. The academy's online format offers a learn-at-your-own-pace approach that gives participants the flexibility to complete sessions on their own schedule.

Scholarship applicants must be employed by a company that holds ATMIA membership. Each applicant must submit a letter of 500 words or fewer explaining why he or she is interested in completing the program. 

Scholarship applications will be accepted through Friday, March 29. Letters should be emailed to David Tente, Executive Director of ATMIA USA, and should include the word "scholarship" in the subject line.

ATMIA will award scholarships to 10 applicants no later than April 12. Scholarship winners will have access to the online training program by May 1 and for a period of one year after the access date.
