DALLAS, Texas - Carreker Corp. (Nasdaq: CANI), a provider of technology and consulting solutions for the financial industry, signed a deal with Sociedade Interbancária de Serviços, S.A. to manage the interbank society's network of more than 10,000 ATMs, according to a news release. SIBS provides ATM and POS networking for payment services to the Portuguese banking industry,

Carreker's networking product, eiManager, is an enterprise ATM network management solution that allows financial institutions to improve ATM network efficiency by streamlining processes and enhancing ATM management and service.

"As the largest processor of ATMs in Portugal, it is essential that we have a real-time view of our network and can proactively respond to any potential faults within the system," said João Luis Baptista, SIBS executive director. "Accurate service level control is vital for the optimal economic performance of our network. Carreker's eiManager provides us with improved fault management capabilities by allowing us to interpret, respond, ticket, dispatch, escalate and report any potential problems within the network either before they will impact our customers or early enough to minimize their consequences."
