DAYTON, Ohio - Banco Galicia y Buenos Aires S.A., a leading private bank in Argentina, is partnering with NCR Corp. to expand its ATM channel availability and functionality. According to a news release, the bank's order includes 200 NCR Personas ATMs, NCR's Aptra multivendor software, and complete installation and maintenance services.
The order marks NCR's second with Banco Galicia and is one of the largest single contracts for NCR in Argentina. In 2005, Banco Galicia purchased more than 70 NCR ATMs. Banco Galicia also is a leading customer of Teradata, a division of NCR, using a Teradata data warehouse to analyze and segment target clients.
"We were impressed with NCR's ability to meet both our service and quality needs, while also delivering a solid value proposition that ensures our investment meets today's requirements while also offering opportunity for future enhancements," said Miguel Peña, Banco Galicia's chief information and operating officer. "Our established relationship with Teradata also helped in recognizing the opportunities available with NCR's Aptra platform."
