Amazon Pay now an option within Alexa skills apps

Software developers will soon have the option to add Amazon Pay to their voice apps in the Alexa Skills Store, according to an announcement from Amazon.

Purchasing categories that currently can add Amazon Pay include donations, event ticketing and restaurants.

A number of trivia-based Alexa Skills — including History's Ultimate History Quiz, Heads Up, Match Game, Sports Jeopardy! and Teen Jeopardy! — plan to add payment support for subscriptions in the future, Amazon said.
