Allpoint Network expands ATM options for Chicagoland bank customers

August 21, 2012

Chicago-area First Midwest Bank has opted to join the Allpoint Network, a Cardtronics Inc. affiliate and operator of the largest surcharge-free ATM network in the U.S. The move will expand Midwest's fee-free ATM network from 130 machines in Illinois, Indiana and Iowa to 43,000 free ATMs in all 50 states and beyond.

"First Midwest Bank's mission is focused on meeting the financial needs of our clients in the communities we serve," said Mark Sander, president and COO of First Midwest Bank. "Joining the Allpoint Network clearly demonstrates our commitment to meeting our clients' financial needs. Our clients now have fee-free ATM access at many of the retailers already part of their daily lives, greatly enhancing access to their cash."

With Allpoint Network, First Midwest customers will receive unlimited fee-free cash withdrawal (and other account access) transactions at Allpoint ATMs located in destination retail outlets such as major discount retailers, pharmacies, convenience stores and grocers. Cardholders can use the First Midwest Bank online ATM/Branch locator or smartphone app to find a nearby Allpoint ATM.

"As America's largest surcharge-free ATM network, Allpoint is built on the premise of ATM access convenient to where people live, work and play," said Ben Psillas, president of Allpoint Network. "Although people have busy, 'always-on-the-go' lives, with Allpoint Network, First Midwest Bank empowers its customers to get cash and access their accounts at locations that match their schedule and are often 'on the way.'"
