Albertson's, Cardtronics re-up agreement

Cardtronics has entered into a new long-term ATM services agreement with Albertsons Companies, one of the largest food and drug retailers in the United States.

According to a press release, the renewal agreement covers a footprint of approximately 730 stores in 23 states across the country. Cardtronics ATMs are placed at companies under the Albertsons banner including Safeway, Shaw's, Jewel-Osco, Albertsons, Acme, Vons, Randalls, Tom Thumb and Star Market.

"Cardtronics' relationship with Albertson Companies' brands dates back to 2003," Cardtronics chief commercial officer Jonathan Simpson-Dent said in the release. "Over the past 13 years, we have been honored to have the opportunity to serve consumers in their stores, and with this renewal we look forward to continuing our business relationship."
