Alarm It offers remote capability upgrade for MT3000

November 28, 2011

ATM and kiosk security solutions company Alarm It has announced that it has added remote capabilities to its MT3000 ATM/kiosk security system.

According to a company press release, the system protects against both external and internal theft, is an anti-tamper, anti-abuse security system that offers protection against unauthorized intrusion. The alarm system logs every entry into the terminal — authorized or not — allowing tracking of external and employee access to the ATM or kiosk.

"With the release of our new alarm software and AMS Web portal, owners can now arm and disarm the alarm remotely," said Tony Morales, vice president of product development with Alarm It.

Based in North Carolina, Alarm It provides a range of security solutions for free standing kiosks and ATMs, and residential and commercial properties. The new software upgrade also allows owners/operators to perform routine alarm status checks, siren and alarm testing, and to silence the siren once the police arrive on scene remotely.

The MT3000, available in TCP/IP, dial-up and a stand-alone version, is equipped with a panic button for consumers and a battery backup. Security alerts are sent via text, e-mail and through Alarm It's Web portal when the alarm is triggered due to the machine being tilted, a door being opened, disconnection of the power or when the battery needs to be replaced.
