December 19, 2001

OMAHA, Neb. – ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ:TSAI), an international supplier of e-payment solutions, has reached an agreement with Italian bank Deutsche Bank S.p.A. to license its BASE24 e-payment processing software. Deutsche Bank plans to utilize the software through ATM and POS transactions."

Deutsche Bank also plans to integrate BASE24 with ACI's Commerce Gateway software in order to facilitate credit card transactions over the Internet, ACI officials said in a press release.

"ACI's presence in Italy, coupled with the company's international experience implementing e-payment systems, led us to expand out partnership through the license of BASE24," said Fabrizio Girardi, chief Internet officer of Deustche Bank Italy's credit card division.

ACI's BASE24 software is utilized internationally and through mid-May was used by 53 of the leading 100 financial institutions in the U.S. and seven of the top 10 ATM networks.
