ATLANTA and NASHVILLE, Tenn. - ACG ATM-Remarketers announced at the recent National Independent Bank Equipment and Systems Association Conference that it is now a national distributor of Korea-based Nautilus Hyosung Inc.'s Ubitus 7040 ATM.
According to Woody Alderman, president of ACG, the Ubitus 7040 is comparable in quality to NCR and Diebold ATMs but costs 25 percent less. "ACG constantly strives to expand affordable ATM offerings and services to financial institutions," Alderman said. "Nautilus Hyosung enables us to provide customers with new ATMs that have excellent quality but that are one-fourth less than the price of comparable machines."
A walk-up, through-the-wall ATM, Ubitus 7040 has an Intel Pentium III processor and runs on a Windows XP operating system. It has a motorized card reader, 12-inch LCD color monitor, depository and up to four 3,000-note cash cassettes. Ubitus 7040 is manufactured to be Triple DES compliant and configured for TCP/IP communications.
An additional feature offered with the Korean machine is a digital camera that records images on the hard-drive, used as a surveillance device.
"Triple DES compliance and enhanced technologies like TCP/IP are examples of how the ATM market is growing to meet the needs of consumers," said Dr. Byung-In Choi, president and CEO of Nautilus Hyosung. "As the industry evolves and innovative ATM technology emerges, Nautilus Hyosung wants to be in the forefront of the movement. Recruiting companies like ACG to distribute Ubitus 7040 will help bring new ideas, technology and equipment into the American marketplace."
ACG sells the Ubitus 7040 for approximately $20,000, including delivery, installation and a one-year warranty on all components in the machine. Additionally, ACG will offer training classes on the new machine for field technicians and maintenance people at no additional cost.
