A2iA adds features to ATM check reader software

NEW YORK — A2iA, a provider of tools for document analysis and handwritten data extraction, announced enhancements to its A2iA CheckReader toolkit.
A2iA CheckReader, a set of advanced image analysis and intelligent recognition engines, enables software applications to capture handwritten and machine-printed information from all areas of checks and related payment documents. Using its own proprietary advanced neural network and artificial intelligence, A2iA CheckReader leaves computer resources available for other applications and operations such as teller software and ATM functions, reducing data-entry time and costs in ATM check acceptance, branch or distributed capture, remittance and proof operations. This release provides enhanced functionality and recognition capabilities for the product's 22-country versions, which are available in six languages, and enhance transaction-processing systems from leading vendors worldwide.
The expanded capabilities of A2iA CheckReader automate the classification, reconciliation and recording of customers' everyday expenditures from all types of paper-based payments. A2iA CheckReader also provides the ability for additional analysis and extraction of information from check images, advances the fight against check fraud and provides additional customer relationship management data.

- Auto locate: Check image extraction from a flatbed scanner image, regardless of its location and orientation, for further recognition of the key fields on the check.
