For everyone who's ever left his unlocked car in the driveway overnight and had his wallet pinched from the console — there's an ATM repairman in Philly who can tell you it could've been worse. So much worse.
According to a Philadelphia ABC affiliate, the repairman — who was also responsible for restocking ATMs — was inside a Chinese takeout restaurant on the north side of the city working on a broken machine.
At the same time, a pair of loitering thieves were casing out the repairman's Mazda 5 on the street outside. After checking around for possible witnesses, one of the men opened the car door, grabbed a black duffel and absconded with his buddy and the bag — which contained $76,000 in cash.
Surveillance cameras on the street captured the entire episode; police are now looking for the two suspects.
Meanwhile, a 27-year-old ATM repairman from Philly is probably looking for a job.
