Money-handling technology provider Glory Global Solutions has expanded its family of desktop banknote sorting solutions with the addition of the UHS-10, a 3-in-1 system that provides banknote sorting, strapping and serial number capture capabilities all in a single desktop device.
The new addition is an alternative to large cash-handling machines in a branch, where space is often at a premium, a news release from Glory said.
The UHS-10 features a compact design that combines functionalities previously available only from separate devices. The solution provides:
“Previously, a teller would need a banknote sorter, a strapping device, both connected to a PC to record the banknote serial numbers," said Gavin Doyle, global business development manager at Glory. "The UHS-10 enables the teller to perform all three of these tasks, but in now one compact, space saving device.”
The UHS-10 will see its first deployment in China, where banknotes (both fit and unfit) are commonly moved and transported as strapped bundles. Following this initial market introduction, Glory will launch the UHS-10 solution in other markets, the release said.
