Co-op Financial Services, a credit union service organization, today announced that it set two processing records in 2010.
Last year, the Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.-based organization processed more than 2 billion ATM, credit card, PIN and signature debit card transactions for clients. This was a 10 percent increase compared with 2009. And on December 24, Co-op set a single-day record, processing more than 8 million transactions, up 10 percent compared with Christmas Eve 2009.
"These are figures we are quite proud of," said Bill Prichard, Co-op's spokesperson. Co-op's ATM network consists of 28,000 machines. More than 3,000 credit unions are Co-op members. The credit unions have a combined 30 million cardholders.
