PONTE VEDRA, Fla. -- Two Virginia-based financial institutions, Franklin's Bronco Federal Credit Unionand Richmond's Consolidated Bank & Trust, have contracted with Nationwide Money, a subsidiary of Global Axcess Corp. (OTCBB:GLXS), to offer branded, surcharge-free ATM access to their customers under Nationwide Money's Branded Cash Program.
Collectively, Bronco and Consolidated are increasing the number of contracted ATMs from 17 to 30, according to a news release. (See related story Global Axcess focusing on acquisitions, branding)
Nationwide Money markets the turnkey ATM program to credit unions, community banks and regional financial institutions. By partnering with Nationwide Money, a financial institution can broaden its market area at a fraction of the cost of what it would require if they owned, operated and supported its own ATM network, according to the release.
Jeff Thompson, Bronco Federal Credit Union's chief operating officer, said, "We appreciate that Nationwide Money helps us to make the convenience of ATM banking available to our growing member base and look forward to the continued expansion of this important service offering in the communities we serve."

Nationwide Money owns and operates more than 1,600 ATMs in 39 states. About 30 financial institutions currently participate in its Branded Cash program at 300 sites.
