The most prominent brands in the world are distinguished by their colors: Think of the golden arches of McDonald's; Coke and Pepsi logos; the UPS slogan, "What can Brown do for you?"
These companies and many others strategically use colors in their logo, branding and products to appeal to customers.
When designing an ATM branding scheme, it's important to think about how you use color and what the colors you choose say about your business.
Research has found that different colors evoke different reactions in people — it has a significant pull on our emotions and it's important to not overlook this power when creating a logo, brand or website.
The most popular color by far is blue. It's the color most often used on the Internet and a favorite of technology companies. Blue puts people at ease because it is reminiscent of the sky and ocean.
Blue is also a favorite for financial institutions. It's no accident that the top bank brands such as Bank of America, Chase and Citi use blue in their logos and branding materials.
