Webinar: Mastering change in the ATM industry

Even if you can’t control change at its source, you can control how you incorporate it into your business strategy.

May 23, 2014 by Suzanne Cluckey — Owner, Suzanne Cluckey Communications

Is there any such thing as “business as usual” in the ATM business these days? Or for that matter, in any technology-driven business?

Increasingly, it seems that a deployer’s business is driven by external forces rather than by internally established strategic objectives. Before the latter can be pursued, the ATM operator must address a broad constellation of peripheral demands related to security and compliance, payment scheme mandates, regulatory updates, vendor product lifecycles and more. Many of these most recently have arisen as a result of the Windows 7 upgrade.

So, how is a deployer to keep up with all of these changes without losing sight of the ultimate objective of running the business, i.e., to achieve growth and prosperity?

PRE-REGISTER NOW!

The webinar, “How the ATM Industry Can Master Change and Manage External Influences,” will seek to answer this question.

The webinar will present approaches ATM deployers can take to deal effectively not only with the challenge of changes that originate outside the business, but also with those that simply come with the territory when the territory is technology-based financial services.

The event at 10 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, May 27, will be hosted by ATM Marketplace and presented by Clear2Pay. Product manager Colin Fraser will explain how change actually can be a catalyst for competitive differentiation, as well as the means to reduce total cost of ownership and attain higher levels of security.

Fraser will focus on a five-phase, test-driven approach to change. This process begins with the strategic objective of defining goals — an exercise that encourages, and even requires, an ATM deployer to develop a crystal-clear picture of the mission and philosophy driving the business.

This in turn, leads to a more comprehensive understanding of customer needs, desires and behaviors — and a quest to enlist stakeholders and business partners in the process of implementing services and safeguards that help ensure a predictable, reliable and trouble-free customer experience.

Fraser will explain the important role that testing can play in the successful implementation of change, and how ongoing testing can help to ensure the continuous improvement of processes and systems.

Attendees at this webinar will learn how to optimize the process of change, implementing it in such a way that it  enhances internal business-building initiatives. They also will gain a greater understanding of the very real benefits to be achieved by taking a positive, proactive approach to the challenge of change.

Webinar participants will take away insights and information that includes:

  • an overview of external influences and inherent challenges posed by Windows XP migration, security updates, compliance issues, etc.;
  • best practices for a smooth migration;
  • methods for maintaining the highest possible ROI;
  • insight into the ways industry-imposed changes might affect an efficient ATM channel; and
  • understanding of the competitive edge that comes from using specialist test solutions.

The webinar is free and open to all with online registration in advance.
