ATMmarketplace.com will host a free webinar next week regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance for financial institutions. Diebold Inc. is sponsoring the webinar, which is scheduled for Wednesday, June 1 at 2p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
The U.S. Justice Department has issued its final ruling on the new accessibility standards under the Americans with Disabilities Act, which pertains to ATMs. The final rule imposes new standards for ATMs that include requirements for voice guidance, input controls, height/reach and signage. Webinar participants will learn how these regulations, which take effect March 2012, will affect their financial institution and how to conform to these guidelines.
Dean Stewart, Diebold Inc. senior director of Advanced Solutions Product Management, and H. Leon Majors III, president of Phoenix Payments Systems Practice, will be the presenters. James Bickers, vice president of custom media at NetWorld Alliance, will moderate the discussion.
