ATMs at Oregon DMV offices help customers speed through the line

August 10, 2009

Presented by

The pilot program came about after customers and DMV staff suggested that management put ATMs in the offices to allow customers to get the cash they needed and to be able to complete their transactions in one trip. Before the ATMs, if a customer came up to the counter and did not have enough cash or a check, the clerk had to cancel the transaction. The customer had to leave the DMV office, get money and come back. Now customers simply go to the lobby when they need money, and then return to the counter to finish the transaction.
