Monrovia, California -- April 21, 2014 -- Visterra Credit Union has always had a vision for the future. Now with their investment in fifteen Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) from NCR, Visterra is applying that strategic vision to their branches, transforming them into branches of the future.

Visterra Credit Union worked closely with branch transformation specialists at FTSI to develop a branch transformation strategy to help them reduce their overhead costs, staff more efficiently and most importantly, build deeper connections with their members. This visionary plan includes deploying fifteen ITMs throughout Visterra’s five branches in Moreno Valley, Riverside and Murrieta.

Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) feature a live teller who takes remote control of the machine while on video chat over its screen. Members are able to conduct up to 95 percent of typical teller transactions, far beyond what can be done at a traditional ATM.

“This new banking technology allows members to experience the personal interaction of speaking with a teller and the convenience of using an ATM,” said Susan Napier, President/CEO of FTSI. “Visterra has demonstrated that they are a technology leader and have a true vision for a profitable and sustainable future.”

Visterra will be deploying three drive-up interactive teller machines and four lobby interactive teller machines in their main branch in Moreno Valley. Each of their other four branches will have two interactive tellers in the lobby. The installations are beginning in April 2014 and will be completed by early 2015.

About Visterra Credit Union
Visterra Credit Union has been providing financial services since 1953. Originally chartered and organized as March Air Force Base Credit Union in Riverside, Visterra served the military community and their families with offices located directly on the base. In 1980, the Credit Union's headquarters moved to the corner of Cactus Avenue and Graham Street in Moreno Valley where it resides today. At that time, Visterra began serving additional Small Employer Groups (SEGs) and their families. To better reflect their focus on a future strategic vision, the credit union became known as Visterra Credit Union in March of 2006. Visterra is a combination of the words Vista and the Latin root terra and together represent visionary growth and stability. During this time, they also changed their field of membership to accept anyone living or working in Riverside County. Visterra has a total of five branches in Moreno Valley, Riverside and Murrieta.
