Wincor Nixdorf to host 7,000 at annual banking expo

PADERBORN, Germany -- Wincor Nixdorf will host 7,000 visitors from more than 40 countries for Wincor World 2004 here next month. The three-day symposium, Feb. 3-5, will include about 350 exhibits and more than 50 qualified partners including HP, Intel, Microsoft and Sun.

Wincor World will also feature 40 workshops that focus on the future of branch making, including sessions on IFX and the future of advanced ATMs; shifting teller-assisted cash transactions to self-service; re-centralizing branch servers through network-centric architectures; and optimizing the availability of self-service systems in multi-vendor environments.

According to a news release, Wincor World presents an annual opportunity to see the latest ideas for improving operational efficiencies by showcasing products and services for more efficient branch design, branch automation, smart banking architecture and multi-channel banking.

Wincor World will also present solutions for integration of new sales channels into retail banking.
