Outlining its expansion plans for India, Wincor Nixdorf has set up a 3,325-square-foot control tower facility in Mumbai. The centralized facility will enable the company to offer managed services by remotely supporting the services infrastructure of banks to ensure branch operations, ATMs and self-service devices run at peak performance around the clock.
Supported by its Indian partners, Wincor Nixdorf already boasts an installed base of approximately 10,000 ATM and self-service devices across the country. All the tools and technologies used to support services will be pooled and linked to the control tower to create a stable and standardized information technology infrastructure. Wincor Nixdorf will work with its strategic partner AGS Infotech to develop managed services projects around the country.
"Banks must ensure consumers have access to their cash and other key services at any given moment. Wincor Nixdorf's control tower will monitor ATM and self-service networks to ensure the highest possible availability of systems to support and improve a banks customer service," said Sathyan Gopalan, managing director, Wincor Nixdorf India.
Additionally, the control tower will enable faster detection, analysis and rectification of ATM problems and create real-time transparency on the availability and status of systems.
