MOSINEE, Wis. - In response to increasing demand for industry education on emerging payment processing technology and electronic clearing and settlement initiatives, payment processing solutions provider Wausau Financial Systems (WFS) is conducting a series of educational seminars in 25 cities across the United States and Canada.
According to a news release, the "Market Leaders 2004" series focuses on payment trends, technology and transitions facing all industry professionals, particularly the impact of the Check Clearing for the 21st Century (Check 21) Act on financial institutions and remittance processors, as well as emerging payment processing technology such as Electronic Clearing and Settlement and Accounts Receivable conversion (ARC).
The seminar series has been designed to address specific concerns in the organizational areas of strategic planning, cash management and payment processing operations.
Topics include: point-of-presentment Imaging strategies at branch, ATM and teller stations; handling exception processing and fraud detection in a Check 21 world; the impact of emerging payment system options on bottom line results; and establishing the criteria and timelines to determine when implementation is most beneficial
