MOSINEE, Wis. -- Wausau Financial Systems (WFS), a provider of payment processing solutions, was recently named to the 2003 VARBusiness 500, a ranking by revenue of the top 500 solution providers of IT services and technologies in North America.
According to a news release, WFS earned the 201st spot on this year's list, which is up 50 positions from its 2002 ranking.
This is the ninth consecutive year that WFS has been ranked in the VARBusiness annual report.
Published in the June 23 issue of VARBusiness, Wausau Financial Systems' rank was based partially on its annual revenue of $104.2 million for the year 2002, a 10 percent increase over 2001 earnings.
As an NCRMaster VAR, WFS sells NCR ATMs, proof machines, sorters and software. WFS also sells encoders, transports and other check processing equipment from Unisys and Fuji Systems. NCR recognized WFS with its Circle of Distinction award, given to top resellers, in 2002. (See related story WFS named one of NCR's top ATM resellers for 2002)
The report is "a solid form of validation that WFS is a true market leader," said John Koci, WFS' president and chief operating officer, in the release. "We have endured quite strongly during a very uncertain time. We have, and will continue to combine the people, products and services to provide the most advanced solutions to our customers."
