Western Union opened its concept store in Jordan in collaboration with Al Sadat and Al Hindi Exchange. Located in Sahab, the store offers a retail space to allow customers to send and receive money, according to a press release.
This store will help meet the demand for remittances in Jordan, which grew by 5.9% in the country this year to $284.1 million.
"Western Union is committed to enhancing the accessibility of financial services for consumers globally," Hatem Sleiman, regional VP of Middle East, Pakistan and Afghanistan at Western Union, said in the release. "Our aim is to empower their financial journey by providing them with services that cater to their preferences and needs. Consumers across the Middle East tell us that they want to be able to choose between in-person and digital channels when sending and receiving money. This underscores the importance of having concept stores available, offering customers another dedicated avenue that enables them to move money reliably and at speed."
