Western Union, Banco Nacional de Mexico extend alliance

DENVER - Western Union Co., a subsidiary of First Data Corp., has extended its money-transfer agreement with Banco Nacional de Mexico, S.A., a subsidiary of Citibank, for seven years.

Banamex will now offer the full suite of Western Union services and will continue to expand its distribution network through its own and third-party channels.

Banamex and Western Union has partnered since 2001.
