Wescom Credit Union to offer green vehicle loan discount

Wescom Credit Union, based in Southern California, will offer a discount for green vehicle loans at 0.25% APR, according to a press release.
The minimum loan amount is $10,000 for any qualifying electric or hybrid vehicle. In addition, with the loan, customers do not have to make payments for 90 days and they can apply for an up to seven-year loan.
"Wescom's mission is to build better lives for Southern Californians and through this new Green Vehicle Loan discount initiative, we are able to promote sustainability while having a positive impact on our members' wallets," Jeff Smrcka, VP, consumer lending of Wescom Credit Union, said in the release. "We know that many of our members — particularly our millennial and Gen Z members — are concerned about the environment, so offering this corresponding loan discount is an additional way we can assist them in living their values every day."
