RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. -- WebRaiser Technologies Inc. is offering a "lite" version of its hosted TSS Enterprise platform to kiosk owner/operators running Netstop for free.
The release of TSS Enterprise Lite version for Netstop is the first of many add-ons scheduled for release by WebRaiser that demonstrate the power and flexibility of its award winning TSS Enterprise Suite.
"Within this release, we will free Netstop kiosk operators from the daunting task of remote management through numerous third-party tools that serve partial functions to the overall remote management scheme," said Alex Lowe, WebRaiser chief technology officer, in a news release.
Within the TSS Enterprise Lite version for Netstop, WebRaiser will address the basic needs for effective remote management. The tools offer a real-time status monitoring and network organization system that provide operators instant remote desktop control. Within the system, operators will also be able to configure and retrieve Netstop log and interface files remotely, the release said.
"We will consolidate these basic necessities for remote management and control as a free offering and provide more advanced features as part of our standard TSS Enterprise offering," said WebRaiser Vice President of Sales Gary De Blaquiere.
A quick search of the WebRaiser website reveals that WebRaiser offers a competitive product to Netstop under the name VendiNet.
When asked about the potential conflict, De Blaquiere said in the release, "We have a great respect for Netstop. We resold and integrated with the product from 1998 to 2001. Netstop is a solution to a niche market. While we offer a similar solution, our focus is really on serving the industry as a platform for the development, deployment and management of self-service technologies."
Lowe added, "Our mission is to be the platform of choice for self-service. This means we want to be the solution for managing devices in all verticals. Whether the application was bought off-the-shelf, written by us, or developed by our customers internal staff, our tools and platform can enhance the solution.
"Our goals as a platform are to offer flexibility. We are capable of running nearly all off-the-shelf and custom produced applications. We already host applications written in Macromedia Flash and Director, C++, Visual Basic, Powerpoint, and other tools. This is just the first packaged kiosk application that we have offered seamless integration with."
