OpenWay, a digital payments provider, has been recognized by Ovum, a research and consulting firm, for its Way4 mobile wallet solution.
A recent Ovum Decision Matrix report named the digital payment and card processing platform as a market leader among white label products in the category, according to a press release from OpenWay.
Ovum evaluated technologies from seven providers using various criteria, including innovation, functionality, platform, client base and geographical presence. Judges determined the OpenWay solution had established a commanding market position based on these criteria, the release said.
Seventeen OpenWay clients have now deployed the Way4 Mobile Wallet solution in regions that include Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific, according to the release.
"With an impressive client list and a proven track record of large-scale deployments, the Way4 Wallet white-label platform has proven itself as capable of meeting the needs of most wallet providers for the ever-growing range of wallet-driven payment capabilities," said Gilles Ubaghs, a principal analyst in financial services at Ovum, in the release. "Its focus on strong integration standards, flexible deployment options, and modular design means it will likely remain at the forefront of technology deployments in the mobile wallet space for the immediate term."
