Tina Rothert, 67, will face her alleged shooter in court in Covington, Washington. She was shot while using an ATM to deposit a check in April 2024 by Kolby Delamar, 20, according to a report by Fox 13 Seattle.

During the incident, Delamar and Tryse Phommavongxay, 20, approached her and demanded she take out $1,000. She said she couldn't as her bank had a limit on withdrawals. Delamar held her at gunpoint and she screamed for help. Delamar then allegedly shot her three times, twice in her left thigh and once in her stomach. Her 10 year old granddaughter was in the car and witnessed the incident.

"I know that Haylee has got some serious anxiety with all of this," Rothert said of her granddaughter. She has been in physical therapy and treatment for PSTD.

Phommavongxay pled guilty to criminal assistance and was sentenced in August 2025 to a year. Delamar has pled guilty to first degree assault and attempted robbery for 12 years in prison.

Rothert hopes her presence at the plea hearing will give voices to victims.
