Vietnamese bank adding ATMs

Thanh Nien Daily: The number of customers withdrawing cash from the Foreign Trade Bank of Vietnam's (Vietcombank) ATMs has increased substantially as the Lunar New Year (Tet) approaches.

Vietcombank personnel refill its 34 ATMs in Ho Chi Minh City alone with more than 27 billion VND (U.S. $1.7 million) in cash daily, said Huynh Song Hao, chief of the bank's card department.

The state-owned commercial bank is planning to install more ATMs throughout the country soon. Vietcombank currently has 400 cash machines in 28 cities and provinces, making it the country's largest ATM network.
