NOVI, Mich. - Vector SCM announced a deal with Diebold Inc. to provide design, consulting and project-management services for a supply-chain re-engineering initiative for Diebold's order-to-cash cycle.
According to a news release, the first objective of the three-year partnership is to understand Diebold's processes and how those processes link across the order-to-cash cycle.
"We have contracted with Vector SCM to help us streamline the flow of product from suppliers to manufacturing to our end customers," Diebold president and chief executive Thomas W. Swidarski said.
The initiative ties in with the company's previously announced plans for strategic growth and operational improvements. (Read also, Diebold creates supply-chain, global order-to-cash teams
and Swidarski expected to focus on customer loyalty, profitability.) Vector also will support Diebold's launch of a vendor-managed inventory system for its plant in Lexington, N.C.
