To cater to a young, tech-oriented demographic, leadership at First Deseret CU chose to outfit the branch with interactive teller machines rather than traditional teller windows.

Leaders of Deseret First Credit Union knew that their new branch in Provo, Utah, would serve a large contingent of students, staff, and faculty from nearby Brigham Young University in addition to the usual local residents.
To cater to this predominantly young and tech-oriented demographic, they chose to outfit the branch with interactive teller machines from NCR Corp. rather than traditional teller windows. The ITMs feature standard ATM functions as well as remote video teller capability for transactions that require person-to-person assistance.
Staff at the Provo Campus branch are on hand to provide help as needed by new users of the interactive teller devices. But thanks to the units' teller service functionality, employees are freed to spend more of their time helping Deseret First members and prospective members with their complex banking needs.
The Provo Campus branch is one of 11 Deseret First locations serving 53,000 members who work for or are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
