Wireless ATM systems processed by Columbus Data Services experienced a service outage at 4 p.m. EST Wednesday.
According to a notice circulated by the Wireless ATM Store, "we became aware of a network issue that may have caused your wireless service to be interrupted. As of 4:15 p.m. EST today, we have resolved the issue and pushed out a mass update to all of our units."
The Wireless ATM Store said the outage was unexpected and out of the company's control.
The notice advised wireless ATM deployers processing with CDS to power cycle their unit to resolve the problem, or if this was not an option, to wait for the unit to automatically update and fix itself within 12 hours.
Customers of the wireless store also have the option to remotely power cycle units via the checkurbox.com device monitoring portal. Upon restart, the device automatically pulls the update, the notice said.
