Trustmark National Bank, a subsidiary of Trustmark Corp., has announced it will eliminate all non-sufficient funds fees for consumer checking accounts by the end of the year. It will also waive overdraft fees for smaller transactions, according to a press release.
Customers can also use tools such as mobile deposit, online banking, ITMs and ATMs to make deposits by 9 p.m. to avoid overdraft fees for larger amounts.
"By eliminating non-sufficient funds fees and waiving overdraft fees for small dollar transactions, our customers have more available funds to meet their immediate spending needs," Art Stevens, president, retail banking, Trustmark, said in the release. "This move is a strong complement to our many other products and services developed to meet the various budget needs and lifestyles of our customers."
