Truist inks acquisition of gamified finance mobile app Long Game

Truist Financial Corp. has officially acquired Long Game, a gamified finance mobile app. This app uses games to improve financial literacy and drive account growth and client retention for financial institutions, according to a press release.
As part of this acquisition, Long Game's engineers, designers and leaders will join Truist's innovation team. Lindsay Holden, CEO and co-founder of Long Game, will also lead a team of designers, engineers and product managers to develop new solutions for clients.
"This acquisition is a critical component of a broader innovation strategy at Truist that will future-proof our core businesses and attract inventive and entrepreneurial talent to help deliver new and groundbreaking solutions," Ken Meyer, CIO for consumer technology and innovation at Truist, said in the release. "We're incredibly excited to welcome Lindsay and the Long Game team as we roll out this strategy and create new and distinctive experiences for our clients."
