Triton adds multi-cassette models

April 30, 2000

LONG BEACH, Miss. -- Triton has announced two additions to its flagship 9600 line of ATMs. The new 9650 and 9640 feature multiple cassettes and friction-fed dispensers. Ken Paull, Triton's vice president of Sales and Marketing, said the new models have "the ability to penetrate into new markets that require ATMs with high bill capacity and product modularity." The Triton 9650 features a spray feeder dispenser mechanism that is field or factory upgradeable from a single cassette to up to four cassettes, with each cassette holding up to 2,000 bills. The 9650 is designed for those who want the ability to "customize their ATM as traffic increases or in the event they choose to dispense different currencies or media," Paull said. The 9640's bill presenter dispenser mechanism comes standard with two cassettes and is field or factory upgradeable to up to four cassettes. Each cassette in the 9640 holds up to 3,000 bills. According to Triton, the machine is most appropriate for high-traffic locations that do thousands of transactions a month. Several parts are interchangeable on the 9650 and the 9640, and field upgrades are somewhat simpler on the new machines. Triton will support the additions to the 9600 series and its other ATMs with a new marketing campaign slated to kick off this month. The campaign will include a new company logo.
