Tri Counties Bank, a subsidiary of TriCo Bancshares based in Chico, California, has partnered with United Way of Northern California to launch the NorCal Wildfire Fund. The bank has made an initial contribution of $20,000 with plans to raise $3 million in total to help communities affected by wildfires in Northern California, according to a press release.

United Way will use the funds for the following efforts:

  • Stable Housing Opportunities Program.
  • Unmet needs roundtable.
  • Mental health services.
  • Grants for community service providers.
  • RV assistance.

"Tri Counties Bank has worked with United Way during our relief efforts for many wildfires," Larry Olmstead, president and CEO, United Way of Northern California, said in the release. "Like us, the bank cares deeply about the communities it serves. This partnership, aided by the generosity of our neighbors, will allow us to deliver crucial aid to those in need."
