Tri Counties Bank worked with the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco to give one $50,000 grant to Community Housing Improvement Program and another to the California Coalition of Rural Housing. These organizations will help provide affordable housing to underserved populations, according to a press release.
CHIP in particular builds homes and rental properties for low-income families in rural Northern California, while CCRH provides financial education, technical assistance and advocacy for rural Californians.
"Tri Counties Bank is proud to assist our community partners to obtain grants that benefit much-needed programs," Danna Prater, VP and director of community development, Tri Counties Bank, said in the release. "These grants will provide training to low-income individuals, as well as funding to rural and tribal individuals pursing higher education."
