Tri Counties Bank, based in California, celebrated its 50th anniversary with a fundraising campaign for the California Community Colleges Student Ambassador Program. It launched the campaign with a $50,000 donation with plans to hold fundraising events and volunteer activities with the Foundation for California Community Colleges, according to a press release.
The program trans students in leadership and peer-to-peer outreach while also connecting students with food, housing and other resources.
"We chose FoundationCCC as a partner for our 50th Anniversary campaign because of the positive impact the California Community Colleges and the Student Ambassador Program have on the communities we serve throughout the state," Rick Smith, President and CEO of Tri Counties Bank, said in the release. "Tri Counties Bank believes in people, first and foremost, and we plan to continue that mission over the next 50 years."
The bank also plans on other fundraising efforts such as encouraging donations through its mobile and online banking platforms and launching a checking account to benefit the foundation.
