Tekrati:Transactional financial services kiosks are making a comeback as a vehicle for serving "fringe" banking users, according to research conducted by Aite Group. The analysts define fringe-banking users as unbanked and underbanked consumers, as well as banked consumers who may use alternative financial services providers for convenience reasons. Aite Group expects the number of transactional-financial-services kiosks to grow from about 21,400 in 2004 to 57,400 by 2009.
