WEST CHESTER, Pa. - MEI, a developer of electronic payment systems, says that its bill acceptor has been integrated into Tranax Technologies' Mini-Bank 2500 enhanced ATM.
The MEI bill acceptor, along with a ticket printer and card dispenser, can be added to the Mini-Bank 2500's multi-function topper. According to a news release, the topper makes it possible for retailers to attract customers and generate additional revenue by offering customers new applications.
Tranax announced the release of the Mini-Bank 2500, which can be expanded to offer advanced services such as phone cards, prepaid wireless, money transfer, check cashing, stamps and ticket sales, in October of 2003.
"Since many of the applications offered in the Mini-Bank 2500 cater to cash customers, a reliable bill acceptor was a priority," said Eric Sternberg, vice president of marketing for Tranax, in the release."
TheTriple DES and WOSA/XFS compliant Mini-Bank 2500 operates on a Microsoft Windows XP embedded operating system.
